At BuddyTask, we believe privacy is a fundamental human right. We designed our app to minimize data collection and keep your personal information secure.

1. Data Collection

We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide our services. This includes:

• Account Info: Email address for authentication (via Firebase).
• Task Data: Your todos, lists, and focus sessions are stored securely in the cloud to enable sync across devices.
• Device Info: Basic device details (model, OS version) for crash reporting and analytics.

2. Calendar Integration

When you grant access to your iOS Calendar:

• We do not upload your calendar events to our servers.
• All calendar processing happens locally on your device.
• We only read events to display them within the app's timeline view.

3. AI Processing

Our AI features (Task Breakdown, Smart Suggestions) are powered by Google Gemini.

• When you use an AI feature, only the specific task text you selected is sent to the model.
• This data is transient and not used to train the AI models.

4. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices provided by Google Cloud Platform and Firebase.
